I wake up wondering what is Midrash. Surely Hebrew but a word I am not yet familiar with. Daylight breaks with a question in mind. What is Midrash? “Where did you hear this word?” “In my dream” I responded. “A Beit Midrash is a house of hebrew bible studies.”
As I retold the dream he smiled and said “it doesn’t surprise me”. Didn’t surprise me either this wasn’t the first time I had dreamed in Hebrew recently but it was the first time I heard a word I did not recognize in my dream. Midrash. I’d been summoned to come to Midrash by an unknown messenger. A subconscious gesture of my curious mind?

3 years later I can see the dream with my eyes open. I can still feel my spirit lift each time I see the robed arm release me with his message willowing in my ears. 3 years later I am still floating in his message. Come to Midrash…

Scenes of water and sadness consume my dreams more nights these days. The closer I get to Midrash the more questions I have. Gates have opened but the forked road I must take to get there keeps me in the middle. Perhaps the only direct way to the gate is a decision to be
made, What does it mean to me?

However, the term “psychic dreams” is a very general term and it has its own set of types to differentiate one experience from another. The most popular of which is the precognitive dreams. Precognitive dreams have been popular due to the fact that almost all people got the chance to experience it at least once in a lifetime. Most reported cases involve regular, normal people who happen to experience precognitive dreams without them inducing it. Precognitive dreams happen before the event itself.

Another type is the clairvoyant dream which transports the “spirit” or “being” of the person to another place but at exactly the same time. This type of psychic dream is not common and some individuals claim to be professionals in this kind of thing. Other rare manifestation of psychic dreams is the telepathic dreams which are believed to be a mode of messaging in which involves two perceptive individuals exchanging thoughts. Then there’s collective dreaming which involves people dreaming about the same things at exactly the same time. Like the preceding type, collective dreaming is so rare that experts find it quite hard to gather cases of which.

·    The dead person might not be aware of his current situation and has been living his life still by doing his everyday routine without interference. This usually happens when the person experienced sudden death for which he was not fully aware. An example of sudden death is when a person died while asleep.
·    Unfinished business can also be a reason why a ghost preferred to stay behind. It was believed that every person has his own mission to do in his lifetime. Not finishing it will only make the soul restless and unable to move on.
·    Strong association to the place or things will hinder a ghost’s ability to move on especially if these are their priceless possessions or if the place played a significant role in their once-lived lives. This explains why ghosts manifest in their old houses or even in places of their deaths.
·    Others believed that some ghosts even refuse to move on since they fear they will meet hell due to wrongdoings they committed while alive.
·    Asian cultures have it that ghosts of loved-ones will manifest if a person is nearing death himself. This belief happens when a dying person is supposedly fetched by his loved-one so the dying person’s soul won’t have to be alone during his journey to after life.

It was said that premonitions happen all the time, although they sometimes don’t manifest as clearly as to others would be. Some who prefer to romanticize the whole affair of premonition would say that it only manifests when a certain event will happen to someone you love or who is very dear to you, like a tie that binds a mother to her child, it forms a certain level of intuition or gut-feel which almost always results to premonitions of things before they actually happen to a person.

There have been many premonitions in the past made by both professional future seers and normal, average people that took place in various spans of time after the premonition manifested. Take for example the tragedy of the Titanic which killed thousands of people onboard. It was said that there had been numerous premonitions weeks before the tragedy took place. Even the story Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan uncannily resembled the events of the Titanic tragedy even if the book itself was published 14 years before the real boat sank.

According to the Holy Bible, an angel manifested before Mary, the mother of God’s Son Jesus, to notify her of an anticipated pregnancy even if she’s a virgin. All throughout the history, angels are known to exist in various religions from Islam to Hinduism. Of course, each religion has their own views regarding the existence and value of an angel and how they affect our lives. On the other hand, old wives’ tale has it that angels are assigned each time a baby is born. They’re sent to keep the baby safe and secure until he can fully do things on his own. These angels are then called as our guardian angels.

This notion, coupled with a little adjustments here and there, is what angel therapy is supposed to be. In angel therapy, angels are believed to stay with us for the whole duration of our lives keeping us safe and guiding us on decisions we need to make. They save us from potholes in life we tend to overlook sometimes. This type of therapy is considered as New Age therapy which equates angels to healing. Participants are encouraged to hear and recognize signs from their guardian angels. Angel therapists believe that this is the only way to successfully achieve a greater quality of life.

The idea of reincarnation has been around for quite some time now. Its presence can be traced as far as ancient times when beliefs were just forming and people were seeking for something to believe in. Even the concept of rebirth is acknowledged by Buddhists although not reincarnation as a whole.

Along with reincarnation comes karma. It was believed that a soul can only escape this reincarnation cycle if he had no unfinished business prior to dying and if he already paid for the wrongdoings he did in his lifetime. If the gatekeepers believe you still have one, your soul will be sent back to suffer or at least, get what you deserve. While the original concept of reincarnation is confined to human beings only, some harsh variations of this belief exist. One of which is that when you betrayed someone and never paid your dues, you’ll be sent back to enter an animal’s body—preferably a dog—to serve your master for the rest of your life. This way, your being will learn loyalty and respect before it advance to higher level after life.

Out-of-body experiences can occur under many different circumstances. Some reported cases were brought forward claiming that OBE can be achieved during deep sleep or in altered state of mind such as under the influence of a drug. Furthermore, cases of OBE were reported alongside NDE or near-death experiences which often go hand-in-hand. Others have already mastered the ability to induce OBE when they want to.

Some of the known types of OBE are:

·    Mental Stimulated OBE
·    Mechanical and Mental Inducted OBE

Discussions about OBEs are still ongoing. These discussions usually question the authenticity of out-of-body experiences—whether they are true or OBEs are just our mind’s manifestations similar to hallucination. While the latter has many scientific basis to establish claims, the question of us having our own unique souls persisted, making it impossible for any claims to stand strong. When it comes to OBEs, science and culture kept clashing and while there’s no strong enough evidence to support any side’s claim, it seems that OBEs would have to stay as one of the greatest mysteries human have ever encountered.

People who claim to have experienced this phenomenon vary widely in recollection. Some may even recall seeing a bright light that’s very far from where they stood while some saw their whole life being replayed before them–right from the day they were born up to the last scene they saw prior to NDE. Almost half of those who experienced NDE also went through OBE or out-of-body experience wherein they saw their own bodies being operated on or surrounded by doctors in attempt to revive their consciousness. These experiences were reported by those who have nearly died or actually stopped breathing for some time only to come back to life afterwards.

Even now, there have been debates on the possibilities of near-death experience and why this event occurs to these people. Skeptic firmly stood beside the only existing scientific explanation for NDE and that is the fact that when the brain is being denied of oxygen during those precious seconds when the body wasn’t breathing, it causes hallucination to the person in question. Of course, this conclusion is denied by experts who support NDE and those who believe in life after death and souls living way beyond our physical beings. While it happens to most people who unexpectedly experienced near-death events, NDE cannot be induced or triggered if it’s done intentionally as documented by experts.

The most common form of horoscope we know today is the one which relies on the sun’s placement in accordance to one’s birthdate. In order for astrology to work–or closely predict the future–there are a number of factors that should be considered like the exact hour the person was born, year and the exact birthdate. These are not taken into consideration with your common horoscope found in prints.
