To say that one dreams about drowning may be an understatement. It would should probably mean a nightmare! To dream about drowning is never pleasant but dream interpreters see drowning as a sign from the subconscious that one is feeling overwhelmed in the waking world.
Drowning generally means that there is just too much of something in someone’s life. Maybe the dreamer is overworked? stressed? or maybe tired? It is the subconscious way of asking the dreamer to slow down, take stock and reevaluate perspectives.
Some interpreters see drowning dreams as a rebirth. If you die in your dream and then live again, then it is a signal for change or a new beginning. To dream about seeing somebody drown means that you are over involved with somebody and you are slowly losing your identity to that person.
