Premonitions
Have you ever experienced seeing something happen, perhaps in your dream, only to be notified that your dream came true after a day or so? For most people, premonitions come once or twice in a person’s lifetime while few others experience them on a regular basis. Back then, these people are called as prophet or prophetess and they are revered and well-respected by people. Nowadays, they are called as psychics and sadly, they are not as popular as they once have been.
It was said that premonitions happen all the time, although they sometimes don’t manifest as clearly as to others would be. Some who prefer to romanticize the whole affair of premonition would say that it only manifests when a certain event will happen to someone you love or who is very dear to you, like a tie that binds a mother to her child, it forms a certain level of intuition or gut-feel which almost always results to premonitions of things before they actually happen to a person.
There have been many premonitions in the past made by both professional future seers and normal, average people that took place in various spans of time after the premonition manifested. Take for example the tragedy of the Titanic which killed thousands of people onboard. It was said that there had been numerous premonitions weeks before the tragedy took place. Even the story Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan uncannily resembled the events of the Titanic tragedy even if the book itself was published 14 years before the real boat sank.
