Some people think that they dream in black and white. While it may be true that people only remember their black and white dreams, we actually dream in color. Dreams are sometimes likened to motion pictures where there are more memorable parts than the rest. Here are a few common interpretations about colors in our dreams.
Black typically represents mystery, the unknown, uncertainty, death hate or malice. However if you feel happy while dreaming about the color black then this may come to mean some happiness after a lot of grief or triumph after some trials. Black is also usually associated with depression or sadness.
Red is also typically energy and vigor. To dream about the color red means that there is passion in your life. Red can also mean that you are feeling angry. It is also the color for sex and danger.
Yellow in some interpretations can come to mean the opposite of purple. Yellow can mean sickness. But on a positive note yellow can mean intellect, happiness or harmony.
Green is often interpreted as fertility, vitality and peace. Green is generally a good color to dream about as most of its symbolism is good. Green signifies money, hope and growth. On a negative side, it can mean cheating or deceit.
To dream about the color blue means that you are seeking the truth. Blue is also the color of spiritual guidance and your optimism for the future. However, blue can also mean sadness.
White is almost always associated with purity, perfection and peace. White is another nice color to dream about. It means rebirth and rejuvenation or the start of a new beginning. However, the Chinese associate the color white with death and mourning.
Purple is closely associated with healing. When dreaming about purple it can mean love, kindness and compassion.
